Matthew Lupi
SKILLS BASED DIRECTOR
My name is Matthew Lupi, I have worked in social and human services in Queensland for over 30 years, spending the last 24 years with the Queensland Public Service.
I have held a variety of senior executive roles across policy, program and service delivery throughout the state and have led significant reform in disability services, child safety and community services.
In 2020, I led a whole-of-government seniors support strategy and the establishment of the Queensland Care Army. Working in partnership with key government and non-government stakeholders, the Care Army attracted over 28,000 willing volunteers who provide much needed support to older Queenslanders during the pandemic response.
During my career I have spent time in North Qld and South West Qld where I worked closely with local Indigenous communities, councils, elders and community leaders to improve services and outcomes for children, young people and families.
