Kambu Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Corporation for Health, is a community-controlled health service, developed by local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people for local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and their families.
However, our GP consultations are available to anyone, regardless of where you live, and/or nationality.

Yes, to access dental, allied health, or specialist services, you must be regular patient having attended Kambu Health three (3) times or more in the last 12 months and have undergone your Annual 715 Health Check and/or GP Management Plan.
No, all repeat prescriptions require a GP appointment.
Some prescriptions can be provided via a telehealth consultation.
No, you must schedule an appointment advising our receptionist you require paperwork completed.
Paperwork consults are lengthy and may take a GP longer than a standard appointment time to complete correctly.
Failure to inform reception of the nature of your appointment may result in your GP asking you to return for another visit to complete later.
Yes, to get a referral you'll need to speak to your GP about your health concerns.
Your GP will determine if you need specialist treatment and arrange any medicines or tests that you need.
Your GP will then send a written referral letter to a specialist doctor at one of our hospitals.
Kambu Health proudly offer transport services to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander individuals, partners, children, and carers. To qualify, it must be established that you are unable to access private transport or reasonable public transport options.
Transport is generally limited to the client and one accompanying family member and/or carer. Please note if the eligible parent/carer has more than one child with an appointment, then every accommodation will be made to transport as a family unit.
Priority is given to elderly or frail individuals, people with disabilities, pregnant women, and families with children. While we provide client transport, please note that we may not be able to accommodate higher complex needs or additional support beyond the reasonable capacity of the driver.

At Kambu Health, we do not maintain waiting lists.
If your GP has referred you to an internal allied health or specialist service we recommend you see our receptionist before exiting to schedule the next available appointment.
We encourage all clients to book as soon as possible to avoid any delay.
However, if you do forget to do this, you are welcome to contact our clinic reception team to book in.
