A Cervical Screening Test (CST) detects a virus called HPV. It’s super common, but some types can cause problems.
Our immune system usually clears HPV without treatment, but if it sticks around, there is a risk that it might cause cell changes. In some cases, these cell changes lead to cancer, but this takes many years, and the changes can be treated.
Women aged 25-74 should get tested every five years. Yarn with Kambu Heatlh to ask for a Cervical Screening Test.
They will yarn through your options, including collecting your own swab. PH (07) 3810 3000
