Breast cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women.
Breast cancer is cancer that starts in the breast. It happens when cells in the breast grow in a way that is not normal.
Breast cancer can develop at any age, although it is more common in older women rather than younger women. It is a lot more common in women than in men, but it can affect a small number of men.
