Dr. Marjad Page is Senior General Practitioner(GP) at Kambu Health in Ipswich, and the first Traditional Owner to practice medicine on Kalkadoon lands.

Dr. Marjad who is a proud Kalkadoon, Waanyi and Gangalidda Doctor.  His health outreach and ground-breaking research has influenced public policy and community wellbeing. 

Dr. Marjad has developed a unique diagnostic tool for identifying Foetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder, ensured health providers support pregnant and new mothers with culturally aware care, and drove a focus on Indigenous end of life rituals in palliative care procedures.

Dr. Marjad is a role model and mentor to many emerging medical practitioners.

CQUniversity was proud to recognise Dr. Marjad as the recipient of the 2022 Outstanding Alumnus of the Year award.

Dr. Marjad was recognised by the Rural Doctors Association of Queensland in 2017 with the inaugural Denis Lennox Rural Medicine Award.
